1. The main character has always been with the police force for at least 15 years. 2. The main character is always extremely curt, rude and manly acting. 3. The main character is always either Clint Eastwood or some random black guy, such as Denzel Washington or Wesly Snipes. 4. The main character is always hated by everyone in the town, even though they are the "best cop on the whole force." 5. The villain always has a personal vendetta against the main character. 6. The villain is always the last person you would expect, often the close personal friend of the main character. 7. The main character is always the only person who can figure out the crime. 8. The villain is always mentally unstable or psychotic in some way, but is also brilliant. 9. The villain, in trying to seem inconspicuous, makes it more and more obvious that he is the villain. 10. Most of the movies action takes place in an empty warehouse, park, or abandoned building. 11. During this action it is completely dark and there is no sound at all except for the hero's footsteps. 12. During the course of the movie it will become necessary to visit a strip club and/or a whorehouse. 13. The main character often becomes obsessed with catching the villain. 14. The main character must at some point be kicked out of the police force, only then can he solve the crime and get the villain. 15. There will be at least one, much younger woman who is in some way involved with the case that loves the hero or comes to love him. | ||
